Some PlayStation Links I Have Found Useful

This site is the first site I go to when I am having trouble figuring out how to earn a PlayStation 3 trophy in a game. The site has trophy lists, guides, videos, and tutorials.

This site is my personal favorite in terms of findings the best deals and sales on video games. The site has an active forum, blogs, price trackers, podcasts, and contests.

Do you have a Vita and want to set your own wallpapers? This site is great and is my go to site for when I want to update my Vita’s wallpapers. It has frequently updated wallpapers for games, movies, TV Shows and more. Another good thing is that the wallpapers are already resized to fit your Vita’s 960x544 screen.

This is my recommended link for any gamers who want more hard drive space on their PlayStation 3. I originally had a PS3 that had a small GB hard drive, so I needed to find a way to upsize the hard drive or delete games and content that I didn’t really want to part with. So I ordered a much larger hard drive online and followed this article step by step. It worked for me with not much problems and I no longer had to worry about how much space I had left. I have a friend who has a PS3 with a hard drive almost all filled up, so this link is for those like him who need more hard drive space on their PS3.

Visit My Web Site - PS3 Dimensions

I just recently started my own website and blog called PS3 Dimensions. I intend for PS3 Dimensions to be a place that can offer all the PS3 information gamers desire. In addition there will be PS3 reviews and recommendations for games and accessories. Gamers will also be updated on new and hot deals for PlayStation products. I am a big gamer and think I have a good background and know what gamers like to see at gaming websites. Right now, the website is pretty plain without much information, but it is still in the ‘under construction’ phase as I only created it last month. To be honest, this is my first ever website and blog. However, I plan to add a lot of cool and informative content that gamers will be interested in. I am starting the site for my Electronic Business Management class and will be learning a lot of helpful instructions and tips on how to make my website and this blog even better. I am a frequent reader on hot deals forums so once I hear of deals that are too good to be true, I will post them on the site. I will also provide links to useful sites and apps that help with my gaming. My website will also feature my own personal reviews of new and old games. I have a contact box and my e-mail provided on the website, so if you have any suggestions on what you want to see, then please let me know!

Analyzing A Top Gaming Blog - Video Games Blogger

In my task of analyzing a top blog in my niche area, I decided on Video Games Blogger. The blog site covers video games and posts news, reviews, tips and guides. Video Games Blogger posts reviews on the newest games and also posts helpful related content to new games such as character lists, weapons lists, walkthroughs, videos, and secrets.

They have a presence on Facebook and Twitter with thousands of followers. The advertisements on the site appear to be all video game related and advertises some of the newest games. This is good advertising because their audience is gamers. I have seen other gaming web sites where the advertisements are more random and not game related. According to Alexa.com, their traffic rank in the United States is 13,704. There have also been at least 2,171 sites linking in.

I think this is a great video game source for gamers who want the latest news, walkthroughs, and reviews. One area I think they could improve upon is their site layout. I think it is a bit too ‘busy’ and it looks a little disorganized compared to other game sites.  For example, the first 5 of 6 postings on the news page is all about just one game. I would organize it a bit better and group them instead.

Video Games Blogger is what a video game blog should be like. It has news, reviews, walkthroughs, exclusive videos, and a poll of the week. Seeing how this blog and other gaming blogs operate has helped me shape my own blogging strategy.

Suggested Blog Post Reading

I am a regular reader of the official PlayStation blog and I recommend it to others interested in gaming and PlayStation for news and updates. I would like to promote PlayStation’s blog post, titled ‘The Walking Dead: Episode 4 Coming Soon, New Trailer and Screens.' I think it really builds up the hype for the fourth episode. I have played the first three episodes on the PlayStation 3 and Walking Dead: Episode 4 is probably my most anticipated game knowing that it is due out very soon.

For those who have played the first three episodes, you know that “you’ve been put through an emotional meat grinder unparalleled in interactive storytelling”, says Gary Whitta. He goes on to say all the horrible things the player has already encountered such as murder, betrayal, and insanity, and you think how could it be any worse than that. Now, Whitta assures readers that it’s about to get a lot worse in this emotional thrill ride of a game.

Whitta gives a quick recap of the previous episode of the game and introduces episode 4. He also provides a new trailer and screens for the game, as I have provided one above. So, if you are a fan of The Walking Dead game or even the comic book series or TV show, please give this blog a read. If you already know what the game is all about, it should build up the hype for the upcoming episode. For those who have not yet played the game series, give the blog a read and let’s see if it will grab your interest in starting the game from the beginning.

Top 5 upcoming PS3 games of late 2012

Call of Duty: Black Ops II
The Call of Duty franchise has blown away sales records and the upcoming Black Ops II is very likely to do the same after already breaking the Amazon single day pre-order sales record. There have been complainers who say that Call of Duty is almost the same game year after year with no big changes. Black Ops II will be the first Call of Duty to take place in the future and feature future weapons and technology. It will be a direct sequel to the first Black Ops and will have a branching storyline that also takes place in the past.

Assassins Creed III
The highly anticipated sequel in the fan favorite franchise will feature a brand new protagonist named Connor Kenway. The game will take place in colonial America during the American Revolution. The developer, Ubisoft, has said that this game will be bigger than its previous Assassin’s Creed games. The game will also see the conclusion of the Desmond Miles story.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter
Medal of Honor: Warfighter is a direct sequel to 2010s rebooted Medal of Honor. The game will run on the same game engine as the popular Battlefield 3. The campaign mode features Tier 1 military operators in a global fight against the war on terror. One thing that really intrigues me is that the story is written by active US Tier 1 Operators who were deployed overseas and inspired by real world events.

WWE ‘13
The next installment of the WWE video game series will look to improve on many aspects from the previous WWE games. The story mode will take place in the Attitude Era which lets players take control of The Rock, Steve Austin, Mick Foley, D-Generation-X, Kane, The Undertaker and Bret Hart. This is a nice change as it will focus on a legendary era, classic storylines, and WWE legends. The WWE Universe 3.0 mode gives players even more control on how they wish to play than ever before.

The Walking Dead: Episodes 4 & 5
The episodic game based on Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead comic book series has been greeted with critical acclaim. The first three episodes of the five part game have already been released and now we await the final two episodes, Around Every Corner and No Time Left. The game follows the story of Lee Everett and a group of survivors who are fighting off zombies and doing everything they can to survive in an emotional thrill ride of a game.
