I would like to recommend the PlayStation Vita. At first I
was hesitant on getting the Vita because I have not owned a portable gaming
system since the GameBoy Color. I also thought it was more for little kids. However,
as more information was released about the Vita, my interest increased. For
one, it has dual analog sticks instead of the just one that the PSP had. It has
a beautiful 5-inch OLED screen that is multi-touch. It also has Wi-Fi and 3G
network connectivity. I heard that it would be just like a portable PlayStation
3 in your hands.
As for Vita games, Uncharted: Golden Abyss was the first
game I wanted to play since I am a big fan of the Uncharted franchise. Another cool feature of the Vita is cross
play. With MLB: The Show 12, players can save files between the PS3 and Vita
via the PlayStation Network. This gives the ability to sync your Season saves
so that you can continue on both the PS3 and Vita.
There are also apps that you can download for the Vita, such
as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Skype, and Flickr. Select PSP games are also
available to download on the Vita. Sony has recently given the Vita a software
update that gives it the ability to play select PlayStation One games on the
Vita. Sony will also bring the PlayStation Plus service to the Vita in November
which provides an instant free game collection, discounts, cloud storage, and automatic
updates. Besides that to look forward to, upcoming new releases such as Call of
Duty: Black Ops: Declassified and Assassin’s Creed: Liberation will sure to be
big sellers.
You can buy the PlayStation Vita at Amazon.
